5. Create
your own action campaign. Legislators give greater weight to individuals
who write or call with their own personal message.
Please
please pick up the phone or write an email and tell and your
government officials to protest the Israeli assault in GAZA; tell
them you do not want your tax dollars to support the continued
military occupation of Palestine; tell them you oppose any increase
in military support for the Israeli occupation; tell them you want
military dollars to convert to peace dollars to ensure that
Palestinians can enjoy the same rights and resources Israel grants
its Jewish citizens but denies non Jews both in Israel and most
tragically in Palestine. And finally, tell them that Israel must
recognize Hamas as the democratically elected government of
Palestine. Real terrorism occurs when Israel occupies, bombs, and
starves the Palestinian people, displaces Palestinians with the
continued expansion of the Jewish settlements, refuses to recognize
Hamas, and ignores the peace overtures and proposals of the Arab
States.
The end to violence and death in
GAZA is our responsibility.

others to call and write!
